Ranging Principles: 

High-precision laser rangefinder modules, such as the PS and PD series, use phase-shift technology. These can measure with millimeter-level precision but have shorter measurement ranges and are not suited for outdoor applications. For long-range and high-speed measurements, the HS, LS, and LH series use pulse (D-ToF) technology. This technology allows for long-range and high-speed measurements, but its precision is at the meter-level rather than millimeter.

Indoor vs. Outdoor: 
The HS, LS, and LH series modules use lasers with wavelengths of 780/905/1535 nm, making them suitable for outdoor environments without significant interference from sunlight. In contrast, the PS and PD series use a 650 nm laser, which is limited to indoor use.

905nm vs. 1535nm: 
Both wavelengths are applicable for outdoor environments, but the 1535 nm laser has stronger penetration compared to the 905 nm laser. The 905 nm laser has a maximum penetration limit of 4 km, so distance measurement modules with ranges over 3 km use the 1535 nm laser. Our LS series uses a 905 nm laser, while the LH series uses a 1535 nm laser.
